NJ’s One Hand Gun a Month Bill has been put on the back burner for now. It’s not dead, and can rear it’s ugly head anytime over the next 13 months or so, but it gives me great satisfaction knowing that Mr. Miller will have his knickers in a twist.
How do I celebrate this? Easy, dropped of an application for two hand gun permits this morning. And the wonderful woman told me I’ll have them by Friday.

I know you live in NJ but where? I live in Columbia, NJ and since we are covered by the State Police it takes about 6-months to get a Handgun Permit. Isn’t this Bull-Shit!!
I’m in the eastern part of NJ, across the river from NYC. I try not to be TOO clear about it, for privacy concerns (a tip from my non gun blobber friends, who blob in other realms).
I’m lucky to get my permits in under the 30 day mark, sometimes in 3 days. I think it has to do with the people who I took a safety class with, all their info is in my file, which I see everytime I apply. Cause they pull it from the shelf to confirm my ID, and FID info.
