Recently, I was able to hit a steel plate at 160yards with my 25.20. 6 out of 10 times. With fuckedup sights. Not so shabby I think. First time I shot anything that far. Using sticks wasn’t so difficult either.
Was lucky enough to meet a fellow shooter who uses 25.20 as well. He told me that once I get used to reloading, I’ll be able to do loads that will really make that round zing. And zing enough to hold my own with the larger caliber crowd. He did warn me that 200 yards was about as good as I can get with this round. Do to the size and weight, a breeze can easily blow it off course, and anything farther will be simple luck. Unless I was to find an indoor facility that had a long range bay.
I might do the Long Range event at the International Match in Phoenix in two weeks. Since I’m there right? And like I say, that ammo ain’t gonna shot itself ya know, regardless of how the Brady Bunch tries to instill fear…….
