1860 McCollough Colt

In 1861, after Texas seceded from the union, and all the federal troops left the Texas frontier forts, Ben McCullough cut a deal with Sam Colt to ship 1,000 of the new Colt 1860 Army revolvers to Texas for frontier defense. 500 successfully made it past the union naval blockade and were used by Texas Rangers to patrol the frontier. 

During the opening shot, you can see the ball leave the muzzle……

    It looked a bit yellowish to me. More likely a felt wad (the commercial lubed felt wads are yellow) though catching a ball in frame is not entirely beyond belief.

    I’ve seen some of that guy’s videos before. He always loads only five of six chambers, even though he’s right there at the range and doesn’t have to lower the hammer for carry.
